Ophiolite studies in Manipur, India
Scale = ~15km, VE: 2
The Manipur Ophiolite lies at the northernmost extent of the Naga–Andaman suture and is exposed in the Indo-Myanmar Ranges. It represents an element of the once extensive Neotethyan Ocean, which existed prior to collision between the Indian plate and the Burma microplate. We have created a model of spatial relationships in the mountainous terrain of Manipur to help us conceptualise our field planning.
